Assignment: Research Paper and Project
Task A:
Course Research Paper should be prepared in an appropriate style and good form and be approximately 12 to 15 pages in length and include five to seven references. The course research paper should address a major contemporary issue for Auditing Financial Statements Prepared in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles arising in public practice as a licensed certified public accountant and accounting and reporting for business or regulated entities. The topic of the Course Research Paper is the same as the topic in Task B.
Task B:
A project PowerPoint and its related word document. The topic for the project is for you to write a comment letter to the PCAOB addressing Docket 043: Proposed Auditing Standard for Auditing Accounting Estimates, Including Fair Value Measurements. It has become effective but you should pretend that it is not yet effective and prepare a comment letter. For the project, you should role play that you are CPAs explaining the new rule to a client. There are actual comment letters you can view on the PCAOB website.
Format your assignment according to the give formatting requirements:
1. The answer must be double spaced, typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
2. The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the course title, the student's name, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
3. Also include a reference page. The references and Citations should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
