ADB's focus on energy, water resource management, irrigation, transport and connectivity, urban services, and public and financial sectors under the new country partnership strategy aims to support the government's objective of improving the environment for private sector businesses, with the goal of creating employment and improving access to public services. ADB has been a partner of BISP since its inception, and approved assistance of $430 million in December 2013 to support broad financial inclusion of the very poor and hard to reach women and men, to finance health risk coverage, and provide skills training. The project will be implemented through 2018.
