Spoke with youth as she reached out requesting support as she was feeling down and expressed that she doesn't have anyone in her support system. When this writer asked her if she had to identify who is within her support system she stated that she only has her CMO worker and DCPP worker that has been involved in her life consistently for an extended period of time. When this writer asked Sophia who she would like in her support system she stated she would like to have her brother involved in her life. When asked what she recalls about interacting with her brother she referenced her and her brother spent time in multiple foster homes together. Sophia reports not remembering much about their interactions but does recall that her brother was always getting in trouble and she recalls them both being moved around several times. This writer validated Sophia's feelings and advised her that I would continue to follow up with her team regarding her request to have some form of contact with him. Sophia was able to express how she feels and identifying her desires to reconnect with her siblings, sophia is yearning for an emotional connection at a time when she feels the least connected to anyone.
