Acting as outside consultant group we are assisting the IT department of a software company. Conversion of data centre to a more virtual environment. All servers supported by MIS; transition to virtual is based on timely manner that department manager or owner can provide a time capable without disrupting daily business production. Cost will vary based on the necessary upgrade of server hardware as well possible upgrade for server software as well. Virtualization is the conversion of physical system and reprovisioning physical server, which will reduce the amount of energy, physical space, and troubleshooting time in data center. Advantages is reprovisioning hardware will take minutes instead of days without server downtime, reduce cost of management cost from MIS and, other department for troubleshooting and shared added benefit of purchasing shared premium hardware, such as fibber connections and raid array on a larger scale. Project will also have benefit of performing patch to software and os during this time or perform upgrade to software and os. This will allow more resources to be placed in data center without the need to expand data center to outside company, which may compromise the system without in house check on system.
