Final Report:

Students will prepare a 1000 word research report. Students should choose 1 (one) topic from the list of possible topics on page 9.

The report should be divided into sections: title page, abstract, table of contents, introduction, findings, discussion, conclusion, recommendations and a reference list must be included.

Students should follow the Model Report on LEO for the formatting and layout of their report. Research sources are limited to books, academic journal articles and reports. Only .gov; .edu; and .org websites may be used for online sources. A minimum of 4 academic sources
must be used (this may include the article provided). This assessment is an individual task.

Length and/or format: 1000 words

Purpose: The purpose of this task is to assess the student's level of achievement in the context of certain learning outcomes in this unit. It assesses student's understanding and execution of more independent research skills and in particular the student's organisation and evaluation of their research in the context of report writing.

Learning outcomes assessed: 1, 4, 6

How to submit: Students should submit the assignment through Turnitin as well as submitting a hard copy to their lecturer. The hard copy should have an assignment cover sheet and should be accompanied by the Turnitin originality report, including word count, at the time of submission. Submissions which do not include originality report on the due date and time will be considered incomplete and will incur late submission penalties.
