Directions: According to Botton in The Consolations of Philosophy, Montaigne "filled his library with books that helped him cross the borders of prejudice" (144). Montaigne's philosophy was one of curiosity and acceptance, seeing what is different from us is not immediately "bad" and might even be "better" and learned from.
The objective of our 4th Response Paper is to be a standard five-paragraph essay (introduction paragraph + 3 body paragraphs + conclusion paragraph) explaining and analyzing three things you've learned as a result of "intercultural" interactions (note: intercultural here is defined broadly as different nationality, race, gender, age, region, sexual orientation, etc.). For each body paragraph, mention what was learned and relate the story of how it was learned and from whom and how it has effected your perception of "your" culture and "others'" cultures.
