Select at least 3 European Christian authors and 3 Islamic Middle Eastern and/or North African or Andalusian authors for your discussion. What symptoms stand out? What was the medical response? In what way(s) did the plague affect each society?
b. Keeping in mind evidence from the primary sources in Aberth, discuss how the Black Death compares to the accounts of earlier plagues presented in Thucydides and Procopius. What similarities and/or differences do you find between the 3 plagues?
