1. It appears that the new US administration will be focused on policies to protect US trade. What is your opinion? Do you think that this policy will work for developing the US? What about for developing countries, what will be the consequences/opportunities for them?
2. Global poverty. Have you done anything or worked with any institutions that have helped the poor in developing countries? Can you describe what you did? If you did, what did you find worked, what didn't? If you have not, what do you think would work or wouldn't in helping the poor?
3. A woman passionate about eradicating malaria in developing countries. What would you like to eradicate/improve in the developing world? Do you have any statistics, research and/or thoughts that you think are the reasons for it and what can be done to eradicate the problem. As an example the ted talk gave health, economic and cultural reasons for some of the reasons poverty persists and suggested economic development according to the country's priorities rather than just focusing on Malaria. There is no right answer.
