A vapor-compression refrigeration system, using Refrigerant 134a as the working fluid, has evaporator and condenser pressure of 1.4 bar and 12 bar, respectively. The refrigerant passes through each heat exchanger with a negligible pressure drop. At the inlet and exit of the compressor, the temperatures are -10 C and 80 C respectively. Thea heat transfer rate from the working fluid passing through the condenser is 15 kW. The saturated liquid exits the condenser at 12 bar. The compressor operates adiabatically.
