Determine the following:
a) The excitation voltage (Eaf), line-to-line when the generator is operating at rated voltage and current at apower factor of 0.9 lagging.
b) The full load voltage regulation
If the load is changed to a pure resistance and the generator is to operate at rated current and voltage, determine the following:
c) The new output power (Pout) and current(Ia)
d) Under these new conditions, should the field current(If) be increased or decreased? Explain with phasor diagrams showing the original and new conditions.
