A site inspection is necessary prior to tendering or commencing construction on a project to assess the natural and developed features of the site which will contribute to the cost and/or planning of the construction.
Consider the site of the dwelling is vacant and you are intending to tender on the construction of the building. Provide a checklist for a preliminary site inspection of the site which could be used on future projects. The checklist should be word processed and incorporate tables where suitable.
Provide a sketch of the site clearly showing salient features such as:
- vegetation
- rock features
- existing services
- improvements such as fences and existing buildings
- orientation
- contours
