A sample of ten job applicants were asked to complete a mathematics test. The average time taken was 28 minutes and the standard deviation was seven minutes. If the test had previously taken job applicants on average 30 minutes, is there any evidence to suggest that the job applicants are now able to complete the test more quickly?
