A researcher wonders how the Great Recession affected the tone of media coverage of financial institutions. He suspected that coverage would be critical and generally negative after the start of the recession since some evidence suggested that financial institutions contributed to the economic downturn. The researcher gathered a sample of news articles from the Wall Street Journal newspaper - over a few years before and a few years after the start of the Great Recession - and designed a content analysis to assess article tones. He ended up finding little support for his expectations. Media coverage of financial institutions actually seemed to get more positive after the start of the recession. Based on the study design, do you believe this result? Why or why not? Answer in a few sentences. Use ideas provided in the lecture and course readings
