The control center for body temperature regulation is in a region of the brain called the hypothalamus. When the body is fighting an infection, the hypothalamus alters its control of body temperature, allowing temperature to climb higher than the normal value of about 38 degrees C. Explain how this can be considered a negative feedback mechanism.
