A rebuttal is a counter-argument to an existing argument

A rebuttal is a counter-argument to an existing argument about something or someone. Begin this post by stating an argument about a community you currently belong to. For example, let's say that I am a stay at home parent. One claim or argument some people make about stay at home parents is that they have an easy job because they just get to take it easy and don't have to work at a job. I could offer a number of rebuttals to such a claim, such as doing housework like washing the laundry and going grocery shopping is actually quite challenge. Trying to get children up and ready for school is a lot more difficult than sitting in a quiet office and typing out work.

So, what is an argument about one of YOUR communities? How can you rebut/refute such an argument? Be prepared to defend your position in class.
