Our professor put this question up in class yesterday to review for our exam tonight. He said it's likely that a problem similar to it will be on the exam. He kind of went over it, but the whole class was struggling and I'm looking for a more in depth/intuitive walkthrough of this problem. I'm offering $10 and a tip based on how well this is explained.
