A previous employer was fraudelently billing customers. after i discovered this i reported to the cfo what was going on in some of the brunches. two monts later nothing was being done, so i went to the cfo and informed him i was resigning my position as corporate controller. three years later, the fbi raided the files and billing invoices for this company. the cfo turned witness immediately and was granted immunity. seven managers and two vice- president went to jail, the cfo did not.
First, did i have an obligation to do more thanreport this to the cfo and second should the cfo have been punished as well as the managers. if so what should i have done and what punishment should the cfo receive?
