A popular media source about transgendered populations
Obtain an article on a psychology topic - one article from a scholarly journal and one from a popular media source such as Psychology Today and other similar journals. Think about the differences you find between the scholarly article and the article from the popular media source. How do the styles differ? Is one more reliable than the other? How does each present information and data? Who are the authors or sponsoring organizations of the articles? What is the motivation expressed through each article?
1) Use APA (6th ed.) style and formatting for citations for each article.
2) Include a link to each article if possible.
3) Provide a summary of each article.
4) Discuss the differences found between the scholarly article and the article from the popular journal in reference to observation, defining a problem that is perceived from the observation, proposing a hypothesis, gathering evidence in order to test the hypothesis, publishing the results of the research, and developing theories about behavior.
