A policy brief is a report given to a policy maker

Choose a policy maker you want to advise. The policy makers in this scenario are to be briefed on an issue or problem associated with a specific nation that your team selects from The World Fact Book. Remember that this is not a history assignment, focus should be on the current issue, and the current policy (proposed) solution.

Note. A policy brief is a report given to a policy maker, such as the U.S. State Department, an agency of the United Nations, the chief executive officer of a multinational corporation, the Director-General of the World Trade Organization, or the head of an NGO.

Prepare a 8- to 10-slide presentation and a 2000-word policy brief. Be sure to use a minimum of 10 peer-reviewed journal article references as research for your presentation and brief.

Include the following in the brief and presentation:

· A description of the problem

· Facts and assumptions about the problem

· Discussion and several options for solving it

· Which solution you think is best and why

· An explanation of how the advantages of the solution outweigh the potential liabilities

Be sure to address technology implications and/or considerations.
