A paragraph must have a topic sentence, body, and conclusion. But I sometimes see news articles starting a paragraph that contains only one long (sometimes short) sentence.
Do news article writers use standard English?
If not, how can one improve his or her English if newspapers are not written in Standard English?
What are great materials written in Standard English that a student can read daily or occasionally? Books? News magazines? Research papers?
