A number of states have passed laws that require all Medical Doctors who work at Planned Parenthood Clinics to have admitting privileges at a near by hospital. This MD's may or may not perform surgical procedures. In addition, some of these clinics are to have the equivalent of a hospital surgical suite. Are such laws ethical? what is the purpose of this type of legislation?
