ABSTRACT OF THE PROJECT
E-commerce sites are widely used resources among the internet which are having higher user interfaces. Due to the presence of huge number of customers using e-commerce sites, many companies are offering more and more services through e-commerce sites. Even though there are many added advantageous services offered within e-commerce sites, security is the major concern impacting the use of e-commerce sites. Nowadays, e-commerce sites are used for shopping purposes where customers are facing security problems while making payments. Many e-commerce sites are hacked and the payments made through those sites are not secured and for this reason the use of e-commerce sites reduced rapidly. By taking those security factors into consideration a new e-commerce application will be designed in this project. The security issues penetrating with e-commerce websites will be clearly described in this project along with the information on different types of security issues that take place in e-commerce sites.
The purpose and rationale for performing this study is to design a secured prototype application for e-commerce shopping needs. Nowadays, internet technology has become integral part of human life and many individuals are using internet for both professional and personal uses. Especially within the internet resources, the online shopping process attained huge scope and regularly online shopping process is performed by the users. Even though online shopping process has many added advantages, due to the security issues in terms of payment gateways, the technology is losing its importance day by day. By taking this issue into consideration, a new prototype based e-commerce website will be designed for online shopping purposes which have secured payment options without any security problems arising it in it.
