Review Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (movie) a film which features the hero Harry Potter. Chart the hero's journey (i.e. write about his DEPARTURE, INITIATION, and RETURN by referring to the more specific stages of the hero's journey.
DEPARTURE-begins by recieving a call to enter an unusual world of strange powers and events.
INITIATION-begins when the hero accepts the call. Throughout his initiation, the hero may have to face tasks. If the hero survives, the hero may achieve a great gift (the goal or "boon") which results in important self-knowledge.
RETURN-decide whether to return with boon. If he is successful in returning, the gift may be used to improve the world.
