A fellow i know wanted to know the coefficient of friction

A fellow I know wanted to know the coefficient of friction between steel and commercial carpet. The value was not in the tables of any textbook he had, so he devised an experiment. He had a filing cabinet partially packed with papers and books that weighed, he estimated 150 lbs, because he could lift up one end off the floor, but could not comfortably lift the whole cabinet. The cabinet was on the level floor covered with the carpet. He just pushed on the cabinet starting at the top, going down, and measured the height off the floor where the cabinet stopped tipping and started sliding. He did it pushing on both the wide side and the narrow side of the cabinet. The measurements of the filing cabinet were 54 inches high, 18 inches wide and 26.5 inches deep. When he pushed on the 18 inch wide side, the cabinet started to slide at a height off the floor of 28 inches, when he pushed 26.5 inch side, the cabinet started to slide at a height off the floor of 15.5 inches. Based on these numbers calculate an estimate of the friction coefficient of steel on carpet?
