A distribution channel is a network of individuals and organizations involved in getting a product or service from a seller to a customer. A good example is Amazon. Their channels include UPS, FedEx, and USPS. Without these external stakeholders, Amazon would have to strategize significant changes to the Channels portion of their business model. In fact they are currently experimenting with physical retail stores and flying drones to deliver goods to their customers.
