For your assignment this week you are asked to write an essay of 1,000-1,250 words in three sections that examines the similarities and differences between the various health care delivery systems. I encourage you to use the three numbered objectives in the assignment overview as your three section headings for your essay. I have included an extra note about each below as well.
1. A definition or description of the various types of delivery systems. (Define things like HMOs, PPOs, Medicare and Medicaid.)
2. The goals or philosophies of the various delivery systems. (What is the purpose / main goal of each? Is it meeting its goal?)
3. Your own mission or philosophy statement. Explain your statement and why it was chosen.
(What would you do in terms of organizing delivery systems? What's your mission or overall goal for creating a delivery system, if you were in charge? What kind of system would you select to support that mission?)
