A business uses a differentiated marketing strategy when it

A business uses a differentiated marketing strategy when it targets more than one market segment for its product. The book provides two examples of this; Prada generally markets to women, but has started marketing products to men. Flintstone Vitamins markets its vitamins to both children and to parents. Choose either a food product or a health and beauty product that you use. What is the primary target market for your product? Describe how the manufacturer markets this product to its primary target market. For example, Bayer markets its Flintstone vitamins to children by advertising on children's television networks and by packaging them in bright colored bottles with pictures of the Flintstones. What is a possible secondary market for your product? How would you change your marketing strategy to reach this secondary market? Bayer markets Flintstone vitamins to parents by emphasizing the different vitamins that they contain, by stressing that they are made from natural products, and by pointing out that they are easy to swallow. Many of these ads are placed in parenting magazines.
