A bullet with an initial velocity of 300ms and a mass of 5g

A bullet, with an initial velocity of 300m/s and a mass of 5g, is fired into a block of wood. The bullet is brought to a stop at 5cm deep in the block of wood.

a) what was the average acceleration of the bullet during the time it was being slowed to a stop inside the wood?

b) Calculate the force the block of wood exerted on the bullet during this time.

c) If a bullet with the same mass and initial velocity is fired through a sheet of wood 2cm thick, what velocity will it have as it exits the far side of the sheet?
