Question: A bead °flings m is free to slide along a smooth circular hoop rotating about a vertical axis with the constant angular velocity 52 (Fig.). Use Newton's second law to derive the equation of motion for the angle 9 working with the transverse component of force and acceleration. The rotation of the hoop gives rise to a centripetal acceleration perpendicular to the vertical axis, in addition to the transverse component of acceleration RB. Note that the radial component -R02 does not enter the picture.
