A 500g ball of clay is thrown horizontally with a speed of

Solve the all parts of following question:

Question: A 50.0g ball of clay is thrown horizontally with a speed of 9.00m/s toward an 880g block resting on a frictionless surface. It hits the block and sticks. The clay exerts a constant force on the block during the 9.00ms it takes the clay to come to rest relative to the block. After 9.00ms, the block and the clay are sliding along the surface as a single system.

Part A: What is their speed after the collision?

Part B: What is the force of the clay on the block during the collision?

Could someone please tell me how to solve above question? Thanks!
