A 25MVA, three phase, 13.5kV, Y-connected, two pole, 60Hz synchronous generator was tested by the open circuit test and short circuit test and tabulated in table 1. If the armature resistance is 0.24 ohms per phase determine the following.
a,) Plot the open circuit characteristics(OCC) and short circuit characteristics(SCC) curves and determine the unsaturated region.
b.) Find the unsaturated synchronous reactance of this generator in ohms per phase and in per unit.
c.) Find the approximate saturated synchronous reactance at the field current 475A.
