The equilibrium length of each spring is 48 cm, so each is slightly stretched (to 50 cm) initially. The mass is then moved slightly in a direction orthogonal to the orientation of the springs. What is the period (in seconds) of the resulting oscillation if the amplitude of the oscillation is 0.5 cm?
