A divorce between parents who once loved one another

Cause and effect essay about divorce between parents and the effect it has on children.

A divorce between parents who once loved one another, introduces an enormous change into the life of a boy or girl no matter what the age. When parents decide to divorce or separate, their child or children are faced with multiple stressors. Just knowing that things are going to be different after a divorce, but not knowing exactly how can be frightening or cause fears for most children. Children from divorced families have to learn to cope with the many changes in their family. Witnessing loss of love between parents, adjusting to going back and forth between two different households, and the daily absence of one parent while living with the other, all create a challenging new family circumstance in which to live.
