2. I recently read a book that talked about the fact that the annual budget is a problem with businesses. Why do you think stores have sales in December? Or that you should shop for a car at the end of a month or the end of a quarter? The theory of annual budgeting is that sales and costs are evenly spread over the year, but we know that is not true. Hot weather, cold weather, snow, rain, holidays, vacations all affect sales and costs. This author suggests a 4 week year. I must admit that as weird as it sounds, it makes a lot of sense. What do you think?
