1. Describe the steps involved in civil litigation, beginning at the point where a dispute arises between the parties, and ending at the point where the jury returns a verdict. Include in your description the pretrial stages of a civil lawsuit, as well as the trial itself.

3. Discuss the legislative, judicial and executive branches of government. In your opinion, should one (1) particular branch of government exercise predominant power over government? If so, which branch, and why? If not, why not?
