1. Identify themes and portrayals of family violence that appear in the work you selected, including the response of professionals and community members to the violence, and other concepts we have discussed throughout the semester.
2. Write a paper in which you describe the themes/portrayals you identified and offer your analysis of them. Discuss myths or other harmful portrayals if they were included in your literature or film choice. Explain themes/portrayals using information you have learned throughout the semester. Be sure to cite your textbook and other sources appropriately.
3. Finish your paper with a thoughtful conclusion, in which you discuss why these themes/portrayals were included, as well as the impact they may have on their audience and the culture at large.
