Rickets: -

In this situation, mineralization of bones is faulty. The rickets caused by nutritional deficiency is termed as Nutritional rickets. Osteomalacia: -

In adults Vitamin D and Calcium deficiency leads to osteomalacia. This is characterized by tenderness and bone pain. It causes weakness in the bones.
