Introduction to Vidicon:
The Vidicon came into common use in the early 50's and gained instantaneous fame due to its small size and easiness of operation. Vidicon works on the principle of photoconductivity, in which the resistance of the target material depicts a marked decrease while exposed to light. Diagram demonstrates the structural configuration of a classic vidicon, and the second diagram depicts the circuit arrangement for developing camera signal output.
