Co-axial Cables: It comprises of a solid wire core surrounded by one or more foil or braided wire shields, each of them separated by the other by some type of plastic insulator. This is mostly employed in the cable wires.
Advantages:
(A) Data transmission rate is much better than twisted pair cables.
(B) It gives an inexpensive means of transporting multi-channel television signals about metropolitan areas.
Disadvantages:
(A) Costly than twisted pair cables. (B) Hard to administer and reconfigure.
