Ways of lossing the water from leaves
Explain whether the transpiration is the only way through which leaves lose water?
Expert
Plants do not only lose water as vapor, as by the process of transpiration. The leaves also lose liquid water through the phenomenon called as gutation. Gutation occurs through the structures known as the hydathodes same as that of the stomata. Gutation majorly happens whenever the transpiration is difficult because of the high air humidity or when the plant is situated in the watery soil.
