The structures which form the nervous system can easily be divided in the

a) Central nervous system (CNS) and

b) Peripheral nervous system (PNS).

The organs of CNS include brain, cerebellum, brainstem and cerebrumand the spinal cord. The PNS is generally made up of the neural ganglia and nerves. Moreover, these organs the meninges (arachnoid, dura-mater and pia-mater) forms the part of nervous system too as they protect and cover the encephalon and also the spinal cord.
