Valve which makes the stomach seperatefrom the oesophagus is “cardia”. It prevents acid gastric content from entering back into the oesophagus. Deficiency of this valve may cause gastroesophageal reflux, disease in which the patients complains of bloating and heartburn i.e. retrosternal burning.
