How position of the stomata changed in some plants in order to prevent the excessive loss of the water through transpiration?
Expert
In some plants that have the leaves, which will receive large amount of sunlight the stomata concentrate within the inferior epidermis, so their heating is lower and less water is lost through the stomatal transpiration. In other plants in the dry environments, the stomata group in some of the regions of the leaf; on the surface of these areas the concentration of the water of air is higher in comparison to the environment and the loss of water through the transpiration is therefore decreased. Some plants of the dry climates too have stomata within the cavities.
