Pancreas’s exocrine secretion is produced in the pancreatic acini, which are aggregates of secretory cells. Small exocrine ducts are surrounded by these secretory cells. The exocrine pancreas exudes digestive enzymes of the pancreatic juice: deoxyribonuclease, lipase, trypsin, carboxypeptidase, chymotrypsin, ribonuclease, amylase, elastase and gelatinase. The endocrine secretion of the pancreas is produced and exuded by small groups of cells dispersed all through the organ called “Islets of Langerhans”. This pancreatic form somatostatin, glucagon and the insulin.
