The enteric juice is secreted by small intestine mucosa. Enzymes of enteric juice and their respective functions are explained as:
a) Enterokinase: enzyme which activates the trypsinogen into the trypsin.
b) Saccharase: enzyme which breaks the sucrose or saccharose in the glucose and fructose.
c) Maltase: enzyme which breaks down the maltose in two glucose molecules.
d) Lactase: enzyme which breaks down lactose into the glucose and galactose.
