Expert
Muscle tissues are tissues made up of cells capable to execute contractions and therefore to produce movement.
The function of muscle tissue is to pull bones (or skeletal striated muscle), to contract and move viscera and vessels (that is, smooth muscle) and to form the heart to beat (that is, cardiac striated muscle). The muscle cells contain internal structures termed as sarcomeres where there is myosin and actin molecules disposed to make contraction and distension (or movement).
