Mechanism behind the turbine meter
Briefly describe the mechanism behind the turbine meter?
Expert
Turbine meters comprise straight flow tube in that a turbine or fan is free to rotate about it s axis that is fixed along the centre line of the tube. Generally, a magnetic pick up system senses the rotation of the rotor throughout the tube walls. The turbine meter is a flow charge device since the rotor speed is straightly proportional to the flow rate. The output is typically in the form of electric pulses from the magnetic pick up by a rate proportional to the flow rate.
