In computing, a hyperlink is an indication to a document that the reader can straightly follow, or that is followed involuntarily. The reference points to an entire document or to a particular element in a document. Hypertext is text with hyperlinks. Such text is generally viewed with a computer. A software system for creating and viewing hypertext is a hypertext system. To hyperlink (or simply to link) is to make a hyperlink. A user subsequent hyperlinks is said to browse or navigate the hypertext.
