Raster functions which modify the rectangular pixel arrays are normally known as the raster ops. Changing the location of a block of pixels from one location to other is also known as a block transfer of the pixel values. On the bilevel system, this operation is known as a bitBlt (bit-block transfer), on the multilevel system t is known as the pixBlt.
