Hidden surface removal algorithms and Phong shading
Briefly discuss the concept of Hidden surface removal algorithms and Phong shading?
Expert
i) Hidden surface removal algorithm:
Is the most complete and most versatile technique for display of objects in a realistic fashion. The concept is basically to get one ray at a tune, emanatmg form the viewer’s eye (or in perspective projection) and reaching out to each pixel in the view port, employing the laws of optics.
ii) Phong shading:
Is normal vectors are interpolated and then illumination model is applied to each and surface, for rendering a polygon surface.
